Bike rides. Baths. Binging on netflix. Pesto pasta. Walks in the woods with my pups.
Phone calls catching up with old friends who are my "truth tellers".
Gentle yoga.
Soul searching in my journal.
"What do I need today?"
Lingering in a longer meditation.
Cups of tea. Losing myself in a good book.
Getting 3 things done that I love doing.
Getting 3 things done that I've been putting off (just do it for 15 minutes and then evaluate).
Planning a summer party with friends/family.
Noticing the barely budding willow trees, the flowers pushing up from the soggy post snow earth.
The birds are loud.
The peepers are croaking in the nearby fields at night.
Thinking on the mystery and magic of the Total Eclipse and wondering if the earth had a snippet of a sigh of rest. Re-setting. Re-storing. Re-newing. I wonder.
I drink in the moments.
When I notice the small things, the bigger picture comes into focus differently.
As midwives we know so well how 5 minutes can seem like 5 hours. And too, 5 hrs can seem like 5 minutes. Both are true.
This "holding both". Its a super power. It allows the Mystery. We become witnesses as well as protectors of sacred space.
We are skilled at noticing the present moments, calling on our knowledge/skills of the past AND also holding all the mystery of the unknown.
This timeless skill that is part trust, part courage, part intuition is the voice that bubbles up for ourselves at each phase of our lives. Even during those years when I was walking around in a fog of too much wine, that wise inner voice whispered to me: "are you curious how life might be with less of this?"
That voice still urges me on to be true to myself.
Notice the small miracles of each day.
As I ride my bike, I remind myself as I'm going up the hills:
I am grounded and safe.
I trust in the Flow
I am open to miracles.
I give with love.
Spring comes slowly then suddenly in Vermont.
We are all on the journey to our authentic selves.
Are you feeling a bit disconnected from that Inner Voice?
I know. I know from my bones that returning to YOU is the BEST gift you can EVER give to yourself.
"Are you curious if life might be better with less of that alcohol?"
What if coaching is the way to find your way back to yourself?
I'm here when you're ready.
Reach out and we can explore what next steps feel right for you.
