The Thin places

Thin places bring us into the mystical In-Between. They can be physical places where the distance between heaven and earth become somehow blended. Vortexes of energy. Fertility forces. They can be unexpected or sometimes known by long time stories. Fairy tales. Old Wisdom. Sacred.

Some find this Mystery healing and peaceful. Other worldly.

Some find it disorienting and confusing.

I wonder if ALL big changes bring us to that liminal space between 2 worlds: known and unknown, Security and surprise. Fear and courage. Turmoil and peace.

Comfort and discomfort. Effort and ease.

When we are in transition, we enter into a place where we lose control a bit. We have to trust a bit. We need others to encourage and support us a bit. We need to allow things to be a bit blurry for a while. We are WIDE open to a powerful force of birth moving through us. Hang on! Its a wild ride!

We need to try out, even if for a quick blink, the possibility that our inner longings, our authentic selves, KNOW, with deep intuitive wisdom, that what doesn't serve us any more can morph into new ways of being. Something new and unknown will come forward that will bring us more deeply in alignment with who we REALLY are. Not with denying or deprivation. Not with a lifetime of struggle against longing/craving. It is with peeling away those things that no longer ring true and noticing those things already in your life that bring moments of peace/joy/love that will lead us TOWARDS the sweetness of life.

Being willing to dive into that space between. What is there for you? CHOOSING what works for you. Exploring new ways of seeing things. Trying things on and letting it go if it's not serving you.

Living with the unknown is tricky. I LOVE coming home to the life I have built. There is comfort in the known. I SO appreciate the happy dogs, overgrown gardens, and the rich life we have nurtured. It can change in a blink. Living with the truth that life is short puts things into such a new perspective. I see the messy things: the dysfunctional patterns that we've lived with, the gaps in communication, the day to day irritations. AND I see the sweet small acts of kindness that filter through the imperfections. It is LIFE. It is REAL. And EVERYTHING changes.

I KNOW in my bones, that by entering into the places where I am out on a thin branch, where trust meets fear, where change meets control, where the known and the unknown blend.... THIS, this place of vulnerability is the groundless place of rich, fertile ground that is feeding my soul. It is fucking frightening. AND it is REAL in a way that is AMAZING.

Whether you drink alcohol or not isn't the question. Does it SERVE you is a better question.

Are you interested in diving into the places that are new, unknown, maybe frightening that will bring you into clarity, honest embracing of life in all its many facets?

It is time for all women to explore the Thin places where soul meets every day routines.

It is time for us to know that our messy parts are transformative journeys.

It is time to return to Yourself.

Come on! Its a wonderful ride.
